If you are considering a career in law enforcement or would like to enter the security industry then take the first step by registering now for the BST (Basic Standards Training).
With the 2010 games approaching, there is currently a shortage of qualified staff in Vancouver meaning there will be many positions to fill with higher than normal wages making now an ideal time to enter the field.
New government regulation going in effect at the end of this year also means that all in-house security (bouncers, corporate security etc.) will need to be fully licensed.
The BST is a Justice Institute of BC designed and sanctioned course which is required to acquire a security workers license (without supervision) in BC. Taught by Justice Institute certified instructors, this course covers the theory on topics that relate to the security industry such as: Professionalism, Ethics, The Law - how it applies to the Security Professional, Proper Note Taking and Report Writing, Personal Safety on the Job.
Students, pending an interview, may obtain employment with our company.
Cost, all inclusive $265. Transit passes are included for those who use public transportation, free parking for those who drive and complimentary beverages throughout the course.
